These Terms govern your use of the Brijex app. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Brijex account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Who can use Brijex

You must be at least 13 years old to use Brijex. If you are under 18, you may only use the app with a parent or legal guardian's consent and involvement; they are responsible for your activity on the app. You need a valid Indian mobile number to register, since login is via OTP sent to that number.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping access to your phone number secure, since it's how you log in.
• Keep your profile information accurate.
• Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

4. Content you post

This includes death notices, community notices, event cards, family tree entries, and service listings or bookings.

You're responsible for what you post. By posting, you confirm it's accurate to your knowledge, doesn't infringe anyone else's rights, and doesn't violate these Terms. You retain ownership of your content; you grant Brijex a license to display it within the app to the audience you choose (e.g. your city, or app-wide).

Death and community notices go through moderator review before publishing. We may reject, edit for factual/format issues, or remove content that violates these Terms, is abusive, fraudulent, or reported by other users.

5. What you agree not to do

• Post false, misleading, or impersonating content, including fake death notices or fabricated announcements.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Use the app for spam, scams, or unauthorized commercial solicitation.
• Attempt to access another user's account or bypass app security.
• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app outside normal use.

6. Services & bookings

Brijex provides a platform for community members to connect for hiring and booking services. We are not a party to any transaction or relationship that results, and we don't guarantee the identity, intentions, or reliability of any service provider or user you interact with. Please exercise your own judgment and do your own due diligence before sharing personal information, meeting in person, or exchanging money outside the app's payment flow.

7. Payments & refunds

Paid features (paid notices, event cards, service provider listing fees, and service booking payments) are processed through Razorpay. Prices are shown before you pay. Once paid content has been published or a booking confirmed, we generally don't offer refunds, except where a payment succeeded but the content failed to publish or the booking failed to confirm due to an error on our side; contact support and we'll make it right. If a payment fails or is duplicated due to a technical error, contact us for a refund.

8. Loyalty points

Loyalty points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. We may adjust, expire, or revoke points earned through fraudulent activity or violations of these Terms. The loyalty program may change or end at any time.

9. Intellectual property

The Brijex app, its design, branding, and software are owned by Brijex. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app itself. This doesn't affect your ownership of the content you post (see Section 4).

10. Suspension & termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, post prohibited content, or misuse the app, with or without notice depending on severity.

11. Disclaimers

Brijex is provided "as is." We do our best to keep notices, listings, and bookings accurate and the app running reliably, but we don't guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content (including death or community notices, event cards, or service listings) or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Brijex is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including from user-generated content, transactions between users, or third-party services (like Razorpay or SMS delivery) we rely on.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Brijex after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
